The trader's own 15-minute NinjaTrader chart of GC (gold futures) with the built-in Order Flow Volume Profile, showing the July 13-14 balance between 3993 and 4099 with a point of control near 4067, the breakdown to a 3978.9 swing low on July 16-17, the new base between 3999.5 and 4037, and the July 21 rally to a session high of 4085.4 with price last near 4060.3.

Thesis

Gold futures (GC) spent July 13–14 in a wide, high-volume balance roughly between 3993 and 4099, with a point of control near 4067. That balance broke down hard into July 16–17, printing a swing low at 3978.9 and building a tighter new base between 3999.5 and 4037, with the point of control shifting down to 4037 as the market accepted lower prices. Through that decline and the base-building that followed, every session's volume profile showed positive net delta, consistent with buying absorption rather than sellers being fully in control. July 21 has pushed out of that base, rallying to a session high of 4085.4 and trading last near 4060 — back under the prior balance's point of control at 4067. Read through auction market theory, this is a return-to-value move: price is retracing into the old balance after rejecting the lower area, and the next real test is whether it builds acceptance above 4067 toward the untested 4099 high, or rotates back into the 3999.5–4037 base it just left.

Scenarios

Bullish scenario

Hold above the 4037 base point of control and reclaim 4067 opens the auction toward the untested 4085–4099 supply zone, where the market will need to build new acceptance to extend further.

Bearish scenario

Rejection at 4067/4085 rotates price back into the 3999.5–4037 base area; as long as that base holds, the broader structure stays intact.

Invalidation

A 15-minute close and acceptance below 3978.9 breaks the recent base and opens room toward the low-3900s, the next area without recent volume.

Risk notes

These levels are read directly off the trader's own chart using standard, built-in charting tools (volume profile and order-flow delta) — not a paid third-party signal service — and describe volume/value-area structure, not a prediction. Gold futures are a leveraged product; position size and stop placement should reflect that. This is market-structure commentary for educational purposes only, not personalized investment advice.
