Price Bias Map: 5 Opening Scenarios That Shape the Day
The market is a continuous auction between buyers and sellers, always searching for "Fair Value." From this principle come the concepts of Balance, Imbalance, the Value Area, and the Point of Control (POC) — the tools used to read every one of the five opening scenarios below.

Summary table of the five scenarios
| Pattern | Market state | Drive description | Trade type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open Drive (O.D) | Imbalance | Strong drive, no return | Trend trades only |
| Open Test Drive (O.T.D) | Imbalance | Drive, value test, continuation | Trend trades only |
| Open Rejection Reverse (O.R.R) | Balance | New prices rejected, return to value | Sell high, buy low (fade) |
| Open In Range (O.I.R) | Balance | Full respect of fair value | Rotational trading between VAH and VAL |
| Open Action Out of Range | Balance | Slow trade outside the range, then return | Wait for return, then trade inside |
- 1. O.DImbalance
Open Drive (الافتتاح المندفع)
Opens at or outside the fair value edge, followed by a violent drive with no return.
80% price won't return
- 2. O.T.DImbalance — trend confirmation
Open Test Drive (الافتتاح مع الاختبار)
A strong exit from value, then a calm retest of VAH/VAL before the trend continues.
Goal: catch the pullback
- 3. O.R.RBalance — value respect
Open Rejection Reverse (الافتتاح المرفوض العكسي)
A far out-of-range open gets rejected immediately, with a strong return into prior value.
80% respects yesterday's levels
- 4. O.I.RBalance — ideal balance
Open In Range (الافتتاح داخل النطاق)
A normal open inside the prior value area, rotating between VAH and VAL around POC.
60–70% of days
- 5. O.A.O.RBalance — deferred balance
Open Action Out of Range (الافتتاح الجانبي خارج النطاق)
Opens outside fair value, trades slow and sideways, then loses momentum and slides back in.
70% returns inside value
