Interpretive research — not trading advice
Open Drive (الافتتاح المندفع)
An open at or outside the fair value edge, followed by a violent price drive with no attempt to return — the clearest and riskiest-to-fade imbalance scenario.
Theoretical foundation: Auction Market Theory (AMT)
The market is a continuous auction between buyers and sellers, always searching for "Fair Value." From this principle come the concepts of Balance, Imbalance, the Value Area, and the Point of Control (POC) — the tools used to read the Open Drive scenario below.
Beginner-friendly explanation
In this scenario price opens outside — or right at the edge of — yesterday's value area, then drives hard in one direction with no lower wick showing any attempt at rejection: buyers or sellers are in full control from minute one. This is the clearest form of "Imbalance" under Auction Market Theory — price isn't searching for fair value, it's escaping it to build an entirely new value area.
